Commercial Description:
Malts: German Pils and Carapils
Hops: Amarillo, Saaz, Hersbrucker and Tettnang
We call this beer an Uber Pils - a pilsner style bock lager. Rich, malty, and well rounded but with a firm structure of noble hops. Surprisingly pale in color for such a powerful, complex beer. Available year round beginning Feb. 05.

In my experience, the Heavy Seas beers aren’t really top-of-the-line, but are definitely nothing to sneeze at. This one pours a pale gold with some hazy light brown highlights, thin bubbly head. Nose is VERY flowery, with a strange candy-like aroma to it. Tastes of good basic hops, incredibly malty, and pretty sweet...alchohol is only slightly detectable. Really the only HS beer that could be a session brew.

Turbid amber body with a small soapy white head. Aroma of sharp spicy hops and doughy malt. Light medium to medium body. Taste is peppery hops, grainy and bready malts, and fruity orange and lemon. Just a hint of alcohol. Pretty decent, overall, but not really an imperial pils.

Bottle courtesy decaturstevo. Pours clear dark gold with an off-white head. Fruit and biscuit aroma with a bit of herbal hops. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Some nutty caramel sweetness, in the taste, along with a dash of apricot. Nearly crisp finish.

Bottle. Pours a slightly cloudy gold with basically no head. Aroma not super strong (though I’m suffering from a bit of congestion), but the lime and orange is noticeable, not grapefruit like most hoppy beers. Again, the flavor is citrus with out resorting to the grapefruit and peel flavor of strong pils or IPA’s. Has just a bit of that lemon peel bite on the back end, ending with the slightest hint of Brazil nut. I’m really not getting the malt that other reviews report for whatever reason. Surprisingly heavy feel for a pils or a lager, wading into brown ale territory. I’m not a huge fans of pilsner style beers, but this has enough stuff going on to make it interesting. Yea, this is good.

Even the pilsners are cleanup hitters with this brewery! Two-inch head that dissipates, leaving slightly consistent tracings...pale gold, slightly bubbly body in a willibecker...strong banana (?) notes...heavy malt with a hint of fruit/perfumy aromas--intriguing....HEAVY impressions...lagerish weight in a light pilsner character: an imposter? comfortably medium taste--not at all an indictment of alcohol...overall, a refreshing brew that will fool many with a false sense of pleasure...personally, tough to want a pilsner with this much alcohol, but the balance the C.C. brewers attempt to achieve is approximating a success

Bottle. Clear orange with a white creamy head. Fruity aroma consisting of some oranges, apricot, and sweet bread. Chewy hop resin flavours as well as some sweet (yam) bread, alcohol, and toffee notes. Pretty tasty.

Sweetness with mild hoppiness in the nose. Clear gold in the glass with a quickly receding head that leaves a small amount of lacing on the glass. Mixture of hoppiness and sweetness in the flavor. Not a s dry and bitter as other imperial pils as the balance could be better.

Poured from 12 oz. bottle. Nice golden color with small, quickly dissipating head. Not overly carbonated. Mild hoppy aroma with light malty notes. Nice body with slightly citrusy front palate, malty middle and complex hoppy finish. Not bitter or tart, but a beer with a nice deep character and bold taste. More than I expected from this beer. Not overpowering, but would definitely stand up to a nice fall poultry dish.
