Commercial Description:
Malts: German Pils and Carapils
Hops: Amarillo, Saaz, Hersbrucker and Tettnang
We call this beer an Uber Pils - a pilsner style bock lager. Rich, malty, and well rounded but with a firm structure of noble hops. Surprisingly pale in color for such a powerful, complex beer. Available year round beginning Feb. 05.

(bottle - 12 oz) Golden amber color with a fizzy and soapy white head. Aroma is light with a nice balance of hops and malts. Some citrus. Flavor begins with a sweet and citrus taste that goes to a citrus middle and a lightly hoppy and bitter finish. Aftertaste fades quickly and leaves a sweet and perfumed finish.

Bottle. Amber, low head. Light malty and citric aroma. Lightbodied, thin malt, light citric hops redeem it slightly, perfumed aftertaste. But not terribly exiting.

Bottle. Clear amber with a medium head. Fair lacing. Aroma of grass and citrus hops and sweet caramel malt. Taste is dominated by the caramel malt backbone with bitterness of the hops. Medium body.

From the bottle, pours a hazy orangish with a thick foamy white head, nice lacing. Malty, corny aroma, little bit of hops too. Taste is initially malty and corny as well, with a bitterness of hops appearing in a quick aftertaste. The hops become more prevalent as the beer warms, as well as the thick mouthfeel and corn flavors. Not my favorite brew from these guys.

Floral, fresh aroma. Hoppy, malty flavor. Smooth, medium feel. This is a nice beer.

i was only able to sample nearly a quarter of my glass because i spilled the darn thing! bah... what i tasted was good, though. it’s a damn shame... / sweet, low carbonation, with a little lemon pepper, and nice maltiness - a pretty strong, wheaty pils, and could be just a quality malt liquor.

WOW, big hop boquet on pouring this bottle conditioned light carmel colored beer. Nice medium mouth feel to it, nice malty flavor, alcohol definatly present in this one, nice and balanced, poor head retention but otherwise a perfect storng lager with a style of it’s own.

12 oz brown bottle. Pop the cap for a sort of pine turpentine aroma. The label reminds me of the flying dog labels. Pours slightly darker than a typical pale yellow american beer but not much darker. Once in the glass, the aroma changes to a more sweet alky smell like that of a barley wine or strong ale. I’m surprised to see the label says big bock lager. Pretty strong alky flavor impact like a stronger ale. It readily states its alky content in its flavor. Pretty malty. Too much alky personality for my girlie taste buds. This beer comes off a bit offensive for a lager. I guess that is why it is rated as a stronger lager. Finish is medium malty hop bitterness that lingers. IMO not a session beer. Who says lagers don’t have the creativity of ales?
