Commercial Description:
Malts: German Pils and Carapils
Hops: Amarillo, Saaz, Hersbrucker and Tettnang
We call this beer an Uber Pils - a pilsner style bock lager. Rich, malty, and well rounded but with a firm structure of noble hops. Surprisingly pale in color for such a powerful, complex beer. Available year round beginning Feb. 05.

Deep gold body, thin head. Nose is grassy & herbal hops, some light dough malt, light caramel. Flavor is herbal hops, slightly spicy. A bit of dough, some lemon & toffee. Bready hoppy finish

Bottle (12oz). Clear light amber pour, large fluffy off-white head. Pils? Okay ... floral, slightly funky aroma, sharp but light resiny hops, nice bit of apple in there. The resiny hops don’t really translate into the flavour - it’s lightly sweet and fruity, with some pleasant mildly funky euro hops in the finish, softly grainy, a bit of an alcohol burn, but not too aggressive. Soft, lightly astringent and alcoholic mouthfeel, quick finish, very pleasant - has a bit of a US IPA bouquet, but drinks like a decent euro pale.

out of the bottle pours a golden body with a considerable, white, frothy head. smells sweet and fruity, of apples, hops and bready yeast. tastes strongly of the yeast, bready, doughy. also citrus, lemon, orange peel. some woodsy, hopness. finishes sweet and apple-y. kind of flat. needed to be more carbonated.

ok for a pils/lager. the bottle said an "uber pils" which i assumed to be a pils...hoppy but not overwhelming, ok level of hops for a lager. slight head, yellow from bottle. nothing special but a clean beer. after having a few beers from clipper city, it seems that they have the same base flavor...perhaps the water they use to brew is distinctive? not a bad sign...just a commonality in their beers

Bottled. Poured tawny orange, with a yellowish, tan head. Nose is spicy, peppery, with a hint of sandalwood. Flavor had some sandalwood-like notes to it as well. Hoppy, astringent finish.

Clean pour. Golden to orange in color. Soft, brief white head. Some piney aroma....can definately smell the malt. Light feeling in the mouth, which is appropriate. Very clean tasting. Dry finish. I can’t believe this is 7.5%. Nice Pils....(Euro Strong Lager...whatever)

Pours an orangish color from the bottle. Decent head initially which reduces to a thin lacing. A fair hop aroma. Taste is of slight citrus. Not overbearing. The hop bitterness seems to increase about halfway through the bottle. A pretty good brew that I would like to have again.
