Commercial Description:
Malts: German Pils and Carapils
Hops: Amarillo, Saaz, Hersbrucker and Tettnang
We call this beer an Uber Pils - a pilsner style bock lager. Rich, malty, and well rounded but with a firm structure of noble hops. Surprisingly pale in color for such a powerful, complex beer. Available year round beginning Feb. 05.

Aroma was of slight malts, flowers and sugar (?). The appearance is perplexing, much more better looking for a pilsner. The flavor is very good for a pils, borderline IPA? The end taste is a wonderful combonation of malt and hops, again reminding me of an IPA, but not quite. Overall a fairly nice beer. From Baltimore, My wifes home town so after bangin her and then drinking this sorta made for a nice mix. Could be a classic brew given the right circumstances, ie AB and other mega brewers take notice.

Very difficult to describe beer. The taste is veyr complacted and reawrding at the end. The alcohol is subtle and you would not know that it is 7.5 percent unless you read it off the label. Complexity is the main draw of this beer. it is not for everyone, but everyone should give it a try to see if they dig the tast.

Nice golden pour with large head. Smooth hoppy-sweet aroma. Taste is an interesting mix of pils and heavy-hopped lager. Unique, to say the least. I’m gonna have to try a few more of these.

Sampled with Stegosaurus and beerded_one at Newtown brewfest. Nice perfect blend hop flavor but mostly bland and nothing original. It was just ok for me.

12 oz bottle

I have three of the Heavy Seas series in my hands at the moment. On a whim, I decided to open this one first. It was a nice companion on a cool Sunday night. European strong lagers are starting to grow on me - they make a nice drinking beer without being so over the top you wouldn’t share it with someone who is only used to Bud Light.

Aroma / Appeaarance - An explosive foamy head gushed down the sides of my glass before it finally settled into a two-finger head. At that point I was able to pour the rest of the bottle into my glass without it overflowing the sides. The body was a transparent golden color that let through about 70% of the light. The nose was a sweet mixture of honey, pears and white bread. Overall, not that complex, but it did offer a good preview of the flavors.

Flavor / Palate - The first impression was an interesting combination of caramelized onions, candy sugar, malt and honey. Later sips revealed some hazelnul underneath. It finished with a chocolately taste that reminded me of Indian candy corn. The creamy mouthfeel complemented the slightly bitter aftertaste well. I really enjoyed this - it reminded me alot of some of the Capital beers produced locally here in Madison.

Bottle. Floral-hoppy nose, slightly grassy/grainy. Clear golden pour with a creamy white head and very, very fine floating sediment. Taste is bitter and grassy. Rather bitter, actually, somewhat impressive. Jabs of malty sweetness. And very floral. Medium body. Overall, a well-made, if somewhat forgettable, pils. (*I am utterly amazed by this abv - I was sure this was in the 4-4.5% area)

Rating #700! This one pours an orange color with a very thin white head. Lots of malt, some grassy hops in the aroma. This is the most pilsener tasting Imperial/Uber Pils I’ve had. Some spicy hops. It makes my burps taste like Pilsener. Good stuff.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop marked buy before Aug 06 poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that was and left behind a transparent softly carbonated orange brown colored body and a fair lacing. The aroma was malty and hoppy favoring the hops. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of malt hops spices and mild wheat. A decent one but not one that I would consider buying again.
