Commercial Description:
Malts: German Pils and Carapils
Hops: Amarillo, Saaz, Hersbrucker and Tettnang
We call this beer an Uber Pils - a pilsner style bock lager. Rich, malty, and well rounded but with a firm structure of noble hops. Surprisingly pale in color for such a powerful, complex beer. Available year round beginning Feb. 05.

WOW, big hop boquet on pouring this bottle conditioned light carmel colored beer. Nice medium mouth feel to it, nice malty flavor, alcohol definatly present in this one, nice and balanced, poor head retention but otherwise a perfect storng lager with a style of it’s own.

12 oz bottle. Golden and clear, with a lasting white head.Clean big malt and noble hop aroma, with a definite lager yeast note. Big and malty flavor with a nice noble hop flavor and bitterness. Has a German character to it....a hoppy maibock? I like this a lot.

I really enjoyed this beer. Bought it simply because of the bottle, the name, and the fact that I hadn’t had it before; glad I did. It pours a huge white head that lasts til the last sip. Dark ginger ale in color/caramel. Hints of hops and citrus in the nose. Smooth buttery mouthfeel, really nice. Good lacing with a complex finish. Sweet at first, then the bitter hops take over before the strong alcohol (7%) ends it. Really, a nice beer.

Bottle: Orange with a thin head. Nice mostly hoppy aroma. All-around nice drinker ... well-balanced hop-malt beer. Flavors fall into the American Pale family, I’d have thought ... quite excellent.

Holy crap, I loved this beer on draught. A definate surprise as I had ordered it after a wonderful scotch ale, expecting something crisp and light, never having heard of this beer beforehand. What I got was a very complex concoction, lots of floral hop aroma, nice and bubbly, very thick and full bodied. I loved it!

12oz brown bottle purchased as part of a multi-pack at Florian’s. Translucent amber body with a half inch of off-white head that leaves a small amount of lacing. Smells like apricot and caramel malt with hints of yeast. Tastes like caramel malt with supporting citrus hops. Rich sweetness dominates the flavor. Seems like a hint of mint in this brew too. Full flavor is complimented by a creamy mouthfeel and a moderate amount of carbonation. Overall a well-made drinkable beer.

Small Craft Warning Uber Pils is brewed with German Pils and Carapils malts. It is then hopped with four different hops including Amarillo, Saaz, Hersbrucker, and Tettnag hops. It comes in at a hefty 7% abv, but like the OD Spring Brew, you would never believe you were drinking a beer of that strength. The aromas, flavors, and alcohol are on a higher level, but remain very balanced and drinkable. Uber Pils pours to a beautiful, bright, deep golden color with a thick and creamy white head, and a good bit of carbonation. The nose on this beer is fantastic with lots of herbal/grassy hop aromas that flood the nose. The palate is firm, with lots of crisp pilsner malt flavor, on a slick and full body. Uber Pils finishes with more great pilsner malt flavor up front, then ends with a wonderful, zesty, herbal hop bite that linger on the tongue. A very impressive beer with tons of character. I really love how big this beer is, yet how round and polished it is as well. These beefy, brawny lagers are a welcome addition to the craft beer world. Uber Pils is a natural with any hearty German fare, or grilled meats.
