| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 20, 2004 Bottle pours amber, large fluffy off-white head, fairly attractive lacing, with light carbonation. Hops, citrus, light malts, and caramel on the nose. Nice hop flavor up front, quite a bit of citrus is involved, with a soft malty backbone. Medium body, spritzy mouthfeel. Finishes with with a citrus based hop bitterness, but fades rather quickly. For an IIPA, its rather palatable. Not half bad! Thanks goes out to jeffc666 for the trade!

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 23, 2004 Appealing hop fragrance, earthy, spicy and citric, with hints of pepper, grapefruit, pine needles, some slight leafy mint and crystal malt sweetness. Medium copper color, lightly hazed from the dosage of yeast in the bottle and with a lasting, bubbly head. Flavor profile presents an extraordinary balance throughout, the generous hop flavor and bitterness playing well off of the lightly toasty, sweet malt and features a nicely refreshing, juicy and resinous finish. Body is medium-full, the effervescence perhaps just a bit too lively. Still, features a high degree of drinkability, being so well-balanced. Huge, foamy head that lingers for a good while. Clear, amber body. Flavor is very tangy. Huge grapefruit taste with some yeast and a little sugar. Very tasty. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 12, 2004 Pretty big creamy off-white head that is nice and lasting. Nice amber body. Grapefruit pine aroma with sugary caramel. Mostly grapefruit though. Not overly powerful in the aroma. Flavor is a bit weak, but not bad at all. Grapefruit, sweet bready malt. Loses a palate point because of the carbonation. It doesn’t really burn the mouth, but it fizzes up. Maybe its just me. Vac (2389), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 9, 2004 This IIPA pours with a beautiful amber body topped by a thick, off-white head with a good amount of lacing. The aroma is swet and slightly malty with some citrusy notes, some appricot and lots of hops. The flavor is bitter and hoppy with a nice sweet maltiness. There’s a slight citrus and appricot note as well. Full bodied, tingly on the tongue, slightly dry and warming.
