Nov 16, 2009 21oz Bottle from TW. Reddish hue with a thin lacing. Light roasted malt in aroma along with English hops. Nice body, medium and a bit creamy. Bitter aftertaste and the English malt flavor stays with you. Nice in this respect. A bit sweeter and a bit fruity half way through. This is a pretty decent brew.

Nov 15, 2009 Enjoyed on tap in a nonic glass. The beer pours a deep dark amber to medium-dark brown color, with a slightly off-white head. The aroma is of American hops initially, before fading to some caramelly malt notes. The palate is accentuated by medium-low carbonation, and shows a nice bitterness at first, followed by a malt character that is at once sweet and toffee-like. The finish is slightly fruity, evidencing a slight ester profile of English yeast. The beer is easily quaffable, and belies its mid-high alcohol content. Overall, a nicely crafted and executed winter warmer.

Nov 11, 2009 Pours amber with a light tan head. Aroma is earthy hops with a touch of caramel in the background. Flavor is a nice balance of caramel malt and earthy, spicy, slightly citrusy hop with a nice bitter finish. Pretty good.

Nov 11, 2009 Bottle to glass. Nice clear brown color. Sweet malty aroma. Has a bit of floating matter throughout. has a nice hoppy flavor and a pleasant suprise.

Nov 8, 2009 Received a 12-oz bottle via trade with kmweaver. Pours a semi-hazy reddish amber with a thin off-white film coating on top. Aroma of caramel, roasted nuts, citrus and a hint of vegetable. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonated, flavors of caramel malt, some vanilla and citrus. Finish is semi-sweet with a caramel and yeast aftertaste that slowly disappears.

Nov 8, 2009 Pours deep amber into an English pint. Off-white conglomerate head with excellent retention leaves spotted sheets as it slowly recedes. Orange citrus aromas. Syrupy yet dry upfront with yeast and caramel. Lasting bitter finish.

Nov 5, 2009 Bottle as part of a tasting at Catskeller. Pours clear amber with a small beige head. Aroma of sweet caramel malts, toast, and hops with some booziness. Warming alcohol, bitter hops, and sweet caramel malts make up the flavor of this beer, which has nice balance. Light bodied, and lives up to its "warmer" title. Still, the aroma didn’t do a whole lot and I wasn’t crazy about the taste of this one.
