Commercial Description:
Modeled after the style of beer produced in Baltimore just after Prohibition. The beer is pale in color, is made with 100% malt, and has a very mild Hersbrucker hop character. A great example of the kind of beer our grandfathers consumed.

Pale golden in color with no head. Very lightly sweet aroma. Decent flavor - a good beer to drink all night at the bar, but not a great craft brew.

Light apple juice body with quickly dissipating off-white head. Aroma is sweet grassy, apple. Taste is bland lager -- apple sweet, slightly grassy, virtually no bitterness. Watery light body. Better than BMC, but essentially an inoffensive beer pursuing fans of the macros.

Sparkling clear, perfect, Sunshine yellow lager. Very little head. A touch woodsy with notes of damp straw in the aroma. Slightly floral. Decently balanced, although the sweet malt seems to shine through when all is said and done. Light-bodied with a watery mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Short, crisp finish. Not a good beer.

Nice golden colour with a 1 centimetre white head. Aroma of malt, hops a bit of metal and a tiny bit of nuttyness. Strong maltiness in the taste with the subtlety of hops and the strong flavour of metal. Somewhat reminiscent of an american lager, but a bit better. I don't know how this got classified under 'American Dark', maybe someone was drunk when they created this beer. This is a lager or an 'American Standard' and should be re-classified. This beer isn't too great compared to the style, but if you are around the area (Washington,Baltimore), pick one up and try it for yourself! I bought my 12 ounce bottle at Total Wine in McLean, Virginia.

A pleasant lager with a nice balance of malt and hop. Appealing light orange color. Malty nose. Decent head to start, recedes quickly.

First off, whoever put this beer in as a dark American doesn't know shit from shinola. It is a lager, period. Poured out a golden LAGER color, with a sparce, short lived head. Aromas of sweet malts, with a slight background of hops. Tasted pretty bland, not much happening here in the way of stand out malts or hops. Not bitter, like some lagers. Tasted ok, but nothing I'd go out of my way to buy again.

A nice malty lager. Easy to drink, with a nice hops bite. It has a nice dark color that is appetizing, as well as nice carbonation.
