Commercial Description:
Modeled after the style of beer produced in Baltimore just after Prohibition. The beer is pale in color, is made with 100% malt, and has a very mild Hersbrucker hop character. A great example of the kind of beer our grandfathers consumed.

Farily nice aroma although I can’t figure out what it smells like. Golden color with a carbonated taste. Overall a decent tasting beer. WARNING...maybe I got a bad case but the bottles were very carbonated, as in I couldn’t even pour the bottle at one time. This is by no means a knock on the beer or brewer just a warning if you go to open one.

Golden body, low white head. Grassy grain malt aroma. A little funk. Grain flavour as well, still down with its funky self. Better than Bud...

Pours a very bubbly, clear gold color with a fairly thick, foamy white head. The aroma is hard to decipher; maybe some grainy hops, and some light malty smells. The mouthfeel was lively, but also thin and oily, with above average carbonation. Taste was mostly bitter and sour, not very sweet. I think this beer might be good with crabs, but it’s not that exciting.

Clear golden amber body with a small white head. Sweet honey caramel and light hops aroma. Sweet honey flavor with some gentle grassy hops.

Medium malt aroma, strong hop--not to style, slight yeast aroma, buttery esters--not to style, medium phenol odor. Appearance to style, color excellent, head persistent. Strong diacetyls--heavy butter taste, medium hop bitterness, yeasty. Overall--decent. not to classic lager style. nearly ale-like in flavor.

This is my first lager in a while. Pretty much no contest with pale ales and IPAS. The color was straw yellow. Not much to make me order another.

Bottle: A skunky grassy unplesant aroma. A macro-basic undescript appearence except maybe its uncannily boringness. An apple-y, wheat-esque, malt-ish many almost flavors but again the nothingness really stands out.

Hazy Pale Amber brew, foamy white head, small lacing. Aroma is bread, wheat. No bombs bursting in air from this McHenry. Not to exciting here. Malty bread flavor, a bit fizzy at the end with a grassy finish.
