Commercial Description:
Modeled after the style of beer produced in Baltimore just after Prohibition. The beer is pale in color, is made with 100% malt, and has a very mild Hersbrucker hop character. A great example of the kind of beer our grandfathers consumed.

I’m frankly surprised by the low ratings. The balance between hops and malt is excellent, with neither overpowering the other, and both easily discernable. No, it’s not a very flavorful beer. But it’s a great summer brew, light on the tongue, and easy to drink. Some hops, some malt, some buttery notes... Not a high-class $10 beer, but a great choice for having around the deck.

YAWN. So glad that I had some good beer to wash the sins of this away. To say that that this was bad would imply that there was some flavour there.

Pours yellow with a fizzy white head. This doesn’t bode well.... Aroma is much better than the BMC I was expecting. Grassy hops and some breadier malt notes (maybe sourdough). The taste is an elevated BMC though. Sure this has crisp hop notes and some malt flavor that BMC’s don’t but this is only average. However, it is very drinkable. Finish is also somewhat crisp and malty. Not too bad - drinkable, at least.

Almost the same to me as the Sam Adams Octoberfest, but I liked the Sam a bit better. Nice orange color, flavor malty with hints of pumpkin and some spice. Not bad at all...

This is heady(budweiser) a pure macro lager just waiting to be swilled in mass quanity people. There is little difference in bottle or keg form.Tap version might be a touch hoppier but more watery at times while the bottle is more consistant. This is the american standard if there ever was one for this time of beerdom. Please admins put this in the proper style!I have hit up large quantities on draft with hardly any hangover hence the generous rating.

Pours a light gold with a thin white head. Grassy nose. Thin mouthfeel. Rather dull and boring, but it's not bad. This would be a great beer to drink on a hot summer day while boating on the Chesapeake.

12 oz bottle. Tall, foamy, white head is quickly diminishing and sits on a medium straw body. Grain malt (L); flowery hops (VL); honey nose. Light DMS flavor. Buttery. Moderately sweet flavor becomes a lightly sweet, lightly bitter finish. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. The bottom line is: there's been worse to come out of Baltimore...much worse.

clear light golden with minimal head. aroma is kind of saaz hoppy with a cardboard character. flavor is sweet and also has a cardboardiness to it. quite thin, i could see this being a good beer on a hot day when you're relaxing and not necessarily thirsty.
