brewski519 (395), Morrisville, North Carolina, USA Oct 7, 2009 Poured an amber color with a white head - aroma is very malty/eathy. Taste is malt, caramel and even a little hoppy. An okay Marzen. Damico (162), Norristown, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 31, 2009 Very light aroma and very light copper color. There was a nice frothy head on the pour. I don’t think there was much flavor, but pure light malty flavor, pure as it was meant to be in Germany with their purity laws. fromred2green (141), , Ohio, USA Feb 18, 2009 Bottle. Pours amber with a white lacy head. Aroma is rather malty. Taste is fairly typical for Oktoberfest beers - malty and spicy, with a little hop presence. However, compared to other beers of this style, it isn’t all that hoppy. Decent beer. halfonit (423), Fall River, Massachusetts, USA Oct 4, 2008 This isn’t one of the better Oktoberfest beers I’ve had. It does have a nice gold color to it, but it’s kind of bland. Maybe it need a little more hops for my taste buds i guess. But overall it’s not that bad. Holdwine (905), Beertimore, Maryland, USA Nov 9, 2002 Had this on draft at an Octoberfest celebration. Hugh did a great job on this. Rich amber hue. Nice nose, slightly fruity. small head that hung in there. Power malt (for a marzen) up front with a nice hoppy finish. Best at the show. Gusler (2655), Tucson, Arizona, USA Sep 19, 2000 Excellent version of this classic style lager. malty, big nose and robust hop crispness that is a trademark of this wonderful style of beer. great to see someone still cares about the serious beer taster.
