Bottle; second sampling of it. Poured a medium to dark amber with a smallish tan head. Aroma of nuts, slightly sweet caramel, toast and earth. Flavor was good for an "organic" beer. Alot of sweet caramel, biscuit and earthy malt initially, with a slight bitter finish; not much flavor from the hops. As others have mentioned, a slight tart presence was sometimes evident. Probably good for the style and for organic beers.

Not bad. Probably about average for the style. A bit of sourness that was nicely balanced.

12 oz bottle from BOMC, shared with a homebrewer friend. Nice white head on amber beer. Good malt and hop aroma. Flavor is caramel, malt, and hops. Typical, fairly good, but not impressive. I never saw any benefit to the overpriced organic hype, just not worth the price. Even so, this is a decent, drinkable amber.

Bottle. 12 fl. oz. Clear, dark amber color with very little head. Aromas of roasted malt, caramel, nuts, and some peppercorn. Light body with a smooth, but thin texture. Dull flavors of sweet malt and tart bitterness. Unimpressive.

Never had much luck with organics or ambers. The combination doesn’t do much either. Just plain boring even though it looks sexy. Like the hottest chick you’ve ever seen then you find out she’s a lesbian.

Bottle from State Line. Pours ruby brownish with khaki head. Nose is caramel malt, some nuts, hops. Tastes a bit tart, with caramel malt, hops, and some charred cereal notes.
