Commercial Description:
Brewed with Bavarian yeast for a refreshing spicy flavor, Oxford Hefeweizen is our classically-styled wheat beer - slightly cloudy and unfiltered. Try it with a wedge of lemon.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy pale yellow with a small but lasting white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma of bananas, wheat, light citrus, and light yeast phenolics. Taste is the same as aroma just a little weak. Mouthfeel is a little thin with a very mild bitterness. Another good beer for summer.

This is going to be the shittiest rating I have done in some time. This beer is actually pretty good...got yer banana, lots of wheat husk and grainy notes and a touch of cream....don’t look so great, but it tastes as a wheat beer should and it is better than you nitwits have rated it.

Banana, lemon, and yogurt nose. Pours cloudy and golden with a thick head and good lacing. The taste, again, is banana and lemon of solid strength yet not overpowering. Comparatively weak finish of perhaps lemon peel. Fuzzy mouthfeel. This is one of the better hefes I’ve had lately. Add some hops and this could be a truly fantastic beer.

Bottle. Pours hazy yellowish. Aroma of yeast and bananas. Flavor was pretty crisp. Thought it was better as it warmed as the first few swigs when it was opened were a little harsh.

Draft. Aroma was of yeast and banana. Flavor was the same. Pretty tasty and refreshing, as most hefeweizens are.

Draft at Mellow Mushroom. Color was pretty clear, and banana yellow. Aroma was of banana and yeast. Flavor about the same; nothing spectacular, but a solid hefe.

Average hefe. All the regular things are here, bananas, yeast, etc... Clear and crisp finish. Maybe I should try it again when the temp is above 30 degrees and there is no snow on the ground.

Clear filter hefe with a strong crisp flavor. Golden color with very little head or lacing but good finish. Very good hefe.
