Commercial Description:
Brewed with Bavarian yeast for a refreshing spicy flavor, Oxford Hefeweizen is our classically-styled wheat beer - slightly cloudy and unfiltered. Try it with a wedge of lemon.

BOttle. Pours clear yellow with a small white head. Bananna and clove flavors dominate. I have not had many Hefeweizen’s but this seems very clear for an unfiltered wheat beer. Tasty though.

12 oz bottle-@ the brewery-Cloudy mirky yellow color w/a moderate white head. Floral fruity hop aroma. Fresh crisp flavor of wheat, banana, vanilla, citrus, spice, & some hops, but not in an overpowering way. Easy drinking summer brew; very refreshing, very enjoyable. Good flavor, maybe the best pure Hefe/Wheat I’ve had.

Pours to a hazy golden yellow with thin white head that lingers thru mid glass and leaves okay lacing. Nose is a pleasant mix of clove, orange peel, wheat dough and bananas. Mouthfeel is a bit on the tangy side, and the flavor mirrors the nose, yet adds some apple. Finish is pleasant, but make sure you drink this cold. I let it sit a little long before finishing , and aftertaste became a bit stale as beer warmed. Would make a nice summer thirst quencher though.

This is going to be the shittiest rating I have done in some time. This beer is actually pretty good...got yer banana, lots of wheat husk and grainy notes and a touch of cream....don’t look so great, but it tastes as a wheat beer should and it is better than you nitwits have rated it.

12 oz. bottle, blurb on the neck label and a best before date (Dec/07) along the right side of front label, sampled in a weizen glass. Given your traditional hefeweizen pour. Poured an unfiltered cloudy orangey golden yellow with a frothy white foamy head, ample carbonation, small amount of sticking. I am glad that I gave the last third of the bottle a good swirl because the yeast was definitely trapped in the bottom. A pleasant smelling nose of clove, lemon and banana with a faint sweet breadiness in the background. Smooth, semi-creamy moderate bodied mouthfeel, I wish the body had a little more heft for that creamy full bodied feel that a first rate hefeweizen will have. This is a nice, very quaffable tasting hefeweizen, sweet mushy banana, lemon peel, tangy clove and peppery spiciness. Towards the end a spicy, subtle sweet breadiness emerges, leading towards a dryish finish of sweet banana, sour lemon, sweet malts and sticky clove. I think this is a good take on the traditional hefeweizen style, smooth and balanced, quite enjoyable. Be sure to give this the proper hefeweizen pour because the yeast is most definitely trapped in the bottom of the bottle, otherwise you will get the clear appearance that some others have complained about, also losing a lot of the flavor.

Clear filter hefe with a strong crisp flavor. Golden color with very little head or lacing but good finish. Very good hefe.

Slightly cloudy, bright gold appearance with a decent sized, off white head. Spices mix into the aroma along with the typical hefe scents. Taste was rather spicy, fairly dry with modest sweetness. Well carbonated, light-to-medium bodied mouthfeel. Somewhere between the authentic German hefes and some of the less flavorful Americanized versions of this style.
