Commercial Description:
In Belgium, one of the world’s greatest brewing regions, the tradition of blending fruit with beer has achieved cult status. We decided to create an American interpretation that we present as Oxford Raspberry. The beer is light and refreshing and finished with real raspberries giving it a fruity aroma, and quenching tartness.

An aroma that is more sweet than fruity. Copper colored. Flavor is of very light fruit and sugar, and this leads to a light palate as well. A very light and easy going fruit beer with little to offer.

Best before Oct 05, drank Jul 05: Clear orange with a tinge of red, thin white head, tart berry aroma, starts and ends lightly sweet, medium bodied with light carbonation, long berry ending.

Amberish with a small head. Looks awfully nice. Sweet realistic raspberry aroma- not an extract or candylike... smells like the raspberries I picked off the bushes as a child. Flavor is fantastic. It;s wheaty- not sweet, with the real raspberry flavor... this certainly isn’t a jollyrancher dropped in some Miller Lite- this is real fruit added to a decent beer. It’s smooth (yet not crisp) and finishes with a bietter true fruit flavor that I have yet to find in a fruit beer. Great.

Bottle. Fruity berry-like aroma with raspberries present. Minute DMS tones are also present in the nose. Unique Peach/copper color with a small white head. Quite carbonated start with mild hints of sour raspberries with more maltiness to finish. Slightly buttery in the middle. The flavor balance isn’t half bad. The raspberries don’t overpower this beer, but the fruit and malts don’t seem to totally jive either. A bit too spritzy. Too much raspberry in the nose.

Pours out gold and cloudy. Smell is on the subdued side with vanilla, rasberries and cereal shining through. Taste is slightly bitter with hints of rasberries as well as some sugar. The rasberries are too diluted to make this one stand out.

Light raspberry aroma and a touch of hops, color is medium golden, slightly hazy, flavor is well, unimpressive, lightly malty, some citrus as well as the ever present raspberries. Light bodied. Drinkable on a hot day.

2005 bottle. Light orange/golden, some rosy peach hues, kind of like a white zin. . . (in more way than color, as we will discover). Decent white head recedes slowly to a ring and cover. Clear and very filtered. Huge amount of carbonation can be seen in the aggressive bubbles rising. Smells of lightly tart raspberries, mineral water. Tastes like a fruit spritzer, clearly canadian comes to mind. Harsh carbonation. Extra light body. There could be malt in this, but I’m not positive. . .Finishes with minerals. Wow.
