Gregis (848), Overland Park, Kansas, USA Jun 29, 2008 Bottle purchased at Corral Liquors in Granite City, IL. Pours a crystal clear amber with a fairly dense, frothy off-white head that leaves behind patchy lace. The nose is of flinty, toasted pale malt and sharp, earthy hops. On the light side of medium-bodied and flinty with a mildly bitter finish. The flavor follows the nose with a lightly dry and bitter finish. This one seems a bit more like a British Pale than an APA, but it’s a fairly quaffable brew regardless of its style. vyvvy (1582), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA Jun 20, 2008 Pours clear copper with a tan head. The aroma has lots of caramel malt, hints of hops and a bit buttery. Medium crisp body with very sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with an unwelcome bit of metallic malt, caramel and dry butterscotch. The finish is lightly butter and tinny. Nothing I’ll come back to revisit. 00cobraR (933), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA Jun 2, 2008 i liked this one. poured out amber with a nice off white head. aroma was your typical APA as was the flavor. The finish was nice and crisp. One of the better offerings in my opinion from clipper city SpudClampDawg (898), Jasper, Indiana, USA May 28, 2008 12 oz bottle: Pours a nice, clear amber with a finger thick head. The aroma offers earthy malt that is thick with caramel sweetness. A nice dose of citrusy hops ride on top. A strong bitterness opens the body, with a splash of apricot, peach and lemony hops following. The sweet caramel malts show itself again in the finish, adding a touch of sweetness to balance the citrus. A classic APA that is well balanced and very drinkable. thegreenrooster (1439), St.louis, Missouri, USA May 13, 2008 Pour is an orange with a small white head. Aroma is definatly hopped with some citrus and pine. Flavor is also decent with again some pine hops and a bit of chocolate malts. Finish is a little bitter and thick. Better than most.
