Commercial Description:
As a counterpoint to the Gold, our Pale Ale is distinctly British in character with a firm malt character and a crisp, angular hop finish. Amber in color with a nice earthy aroma.

Sampled with stegosaurus. Pours a light amber with a white head. Aroma of grainy malts and light hops. Flavor is similar to aroma with a hint of citrus and finishes with a mild hop bite.

Bottle from a sampler 6 pack, best by Jun 2007. Unclouded orange-amber with a small, but fairly lasting head. Nice citrus-pine aroma with some malt backing. Flavor is slightly malt on front, then more bitterness slowly creeping up. Nice slight astringent fruit aftertaste. Palate is light-medium, smooth and thirst-quenching. Well-balanced and nice session beer.

Bottled. Mild caramel and biscuit aroma with a little paper. Soft neutral fruitiness and a bit of hops. Orange amber clear with off-white foamy lacing head. Medium watery body with medium carbonation and some light carbonic burn. Starts with carbonic acidity and light biscuit. Mild caramel. Stale papery hops follwed by mediocre bitter finish. Mild dry nutty after with not much else going on.

Bottled. Poured a nice light brown with almost no head. Average smell of hops and a little malt. The taste was enjoyable with hops giving way to an almost nutty flavor. However, it has an awful aftertaste that burns going down. Overall an average beer.

RFD - Washington DC - 12 oz bottle. Light copper to medium orange pour. Aroma is faint, but pick up notes of mown grass and faint floral notes. Clean citrusy flavor, but not overblown. Some sweet honey notes come through as well. Some nutty notes balance it out as well. Decently thick mouthfeel. Overall a solid APA - would be good for session purposes.
