Commercial Description:
As a counterpoint to the Gold, our Pale Ale is distinctly British in character with a firm malt character and a crisp, angular hop finish. Amber in color with a nice earthy aroma.

Copper colour. Woody, slighlty piney hops meet toasty, breadcrusty malts in the nose. Light bitterness with a juicy malt character. Leans towards woodiness.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a very clear amber. Little aroma. No hop character in the nose or the flavor. Did they forget to add them to the boil? Watery and very little malts in this one. Easy drinking and lower bitterness compared to other APAs. Forgettable.

Nothing bad but nothing exciting. Falls into the wasteland of costing more than micro’s but not as good as the crafts. Not a APA really but good enough to drink if its this or the Miller or Bud boys.

Clipper City Pale Ale has a slight hoppish aroma and pours an amber with a slight tan head. The beer is medium in body and has a slight hoppiness.

Clear, shimmering amber in the glass. Hopcit on the nose, but little else. An earthy hop bite, but not too much bitterness. Long on the palate. More hops tumble after the bite, resulting in a moderately bitter finish. Still, not my first choice for the style. Something metallic to this beer -- water?

Pours gold-amber with a yellowish head. No malt or hop characters present in aroma, and this carries through to the flavor as well, except for a slight hint of bittering hops. Creamy on palate.

Poured a golden color with a small white head. Malty aroma coupled with earthy hops. Flavor matches aroma with hops running through the length. A long mild biitter finish.

Pours a golden bronze with a thin white head. Aroma is very subtle with a touch of English hops. Body is bittersweet, but mild and smooth. Not necessarily watery or thin, but very bland and uninteresting. Could definitely use more hops to be considered an APA in my book.
