Commercial Description:
As a counterpoint to the Gold, our Pale Ale is distinctly British in character with a firm malt character and a crisp, angular hop finish. Amber in color with a nice earthy aroma.

Draft at the brewery tour. This was better than I expected. Very hoppy and good.

Received a 12-oz bottle via trade with kmweaver. Pours a hazy light orangish amber brew with a thick creamy off-white head that slowly dissipates to a fine film. Aroma has a pleasant sweet citrus peel scent with caramel malt, some orange and flowery hops. Taste is slightly carbonated, smooth, medium bodied with a citrusy bread flavor. Finish is lightly sweet, citrusy with a lingering dry bitter aftertaste. I agree. I must have this the next time I order hard shell crabs in Baltimore.

On cask, served in a nonic pint glass. Hazy gold with a large creamy head. Lots of English fruity character, some grass, and a bit of citrus as well. Maintains balance throughout. Nothing spectacular but I had no problem polishing off 20oz of it.

Nicely hopped with a good lightly bitter finish. Not overwhelming and very drinkable. My favorite with steamed crabs

THOUGHTS: It was OK., but nothing memorable. A little British. It got better as it warmed. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a clear, light to medium amber with a small, slightly off-white head that mostly diminished and left fair lacing. The aroma was light caramel malt, moderate floral, herbal, grassy and earthy hops along with some lemon. The initial flavor was sweet and acidic; while the finish was sour, acidic and bitter with a long duration. There was caramel, earthy and grassy hops, some lemon and honey. The medium body was like watery syrup and then it was dry with a fizzy and tingly carbonation and a dry and light to moderately astringent finish.

Pours an amber golden body with a white head. Nutty bready corn flavors some earthy bitterness. Crisp thin and watered down. eh.

Bottle picked up at a bottle shop in MD with Tim. Pours a nice clear coppery gold with a small white head. Aroma of light fruit and tangy hops with a hint of candied sugar. Taste is mildly tangy with hints of citrus, hops and candied sugar. Not bad.

This is a Pale Ale work of art. Watched a sixtel of this disappear at a party of mostly non-beer-drinkers! Smooth but not simplistic this PA gives a LOT of bang for the buck. Has become a staple around the WII system and seems perfect for a football/baseball/soccer tailgate.

Aroma of some citrus and pine. Taste is flavorful almost juicy. Well balanced and good hops.
