Starts with some massive hops and finishes with an enjoyable, full, and almost chewy maltiness. Hard to find an IPA with this good of a malt balance when you’ve got the massive hops upfront. A good one.

Fruity aroma with a slight yeasty scent (maybe from the bottle conditioning). Crisp and bold mouthfeel; sharp and tingly. Hoppy, well-rounded flavor.

Amber coloured. Floral, hopy nose. Citrusy, big time hoppy flavour. Really bitter. A typical American style IPA, and a good one at that.

This was the first selection I tried from my Beer of the Month Club shipment for April. This brew pours a clear orange. The generous rocky off-white head is fully lasting with very good lacing. The bold nose is mostly grapefruit and cheese with some notes of perfume, resin, and pine. The heavy flavor is a blunt balance between citrus acidity and February bitterness that finishes long and intense. The flavor has alot of ass, but is not very complex. The medium creamy body has lively carbonation and a very clean finish. This brew will satisfy the hopheads with plenty of bite to go along with the growl.

(Bottle) Pours a lightly cloudy amber body with a small off-white head. Aroma of florals, fruit, and maple syrup. Nice balance of hops and malt with a hint of corriander.

IPA? yes. Bitter? yes. Do I like bitter IPA’s? No. Luckily, this IPA changed the way I think about this type of beer. Great orange color.

reddish-bronze color, weak head....little stamina. Very floral aroma. Taste was hoppy and peppery on the tongue. Nothing super original, but a well made WCIPA for sure!

Re-Rate 05/14/02: Pours a nice clear dark amber color, generous head and lace. Nose is malt, some floral tones also noticed, front is sweet, the top light, the finish is acidic and dry, nicely hopped, quite a decent IPA, and wish it was more readily available here.
