Commercial Description:
A surprisingly light-bodied ale! A blend of 7 different malts producing chocolate, coffee, and caramel flavors. They are partially offset by a nice blend of aroma hops.

2009-11-17. Dark body with a modest creamy tan head. 3+ Flavour of roasty malt, nutty dark malt undertones, sweet malt middle finishes dry with touches of toast and dry roast. 7+ Modest roast in the aroma, dark malt, grows as it warms up. 6+ Average plus palate suits the beer. Pretty decent, servicable brown ale. On tap at the brewpub

On tap. Light mahogany brew. Very sweet, heavy caramel, minor citrus quality, some roast, something else.. pretty wobbly at this point. Too fruity, nice roasted malts, near plum and chocolate but isn’t neither. meh, ok hops, not the best brown. Needs a lot of work. Weak coffee. Light bitter finish. I’ve been told to go and find Sharawarma or something like that....

Sweet malty/caramel aroma. Some light nuttiness, and a touch of hops in the flavor. Straight forward, and pretty simple. Not for the huge beer geek, but i can see a macro drinker enjoying it.

On tap at the Bytown Market. Good brown ale but not very memorable. Nut, caramel aroma with light caramel and light malt.

Dégusté avec french tickler le 11 juillet 2007. Cask Conditioned Dark cloudy brown poor with a foamy beige head... that quickly faded away. Aromas of sour milk, notes of coffee, nuts and caramel..... Very FAD non effervescent taste. 3 different glasses, 3 different tastes.... Taste is obviously infected, sour milf and very poudery. This cask version was unfortunately a complete disaster, need i say i did not finish my glass. When i complained to the waitress, apparently all of the above was very normal for that beer................................... *** Tried a quick tap version, Completely different and much much much fresher and better tasting.

Appearance: Hazed brown ale with light creamy tinted top.
Nose : Butter like creamy aroma followed by hints of corn and generic malt.
Flavor/Palate : Medium bodied brew but empty as shell . Slight citric feel sprayed on shadow hint of brown malt. Dominant creamy textures and flavours. Washed up tomato can .

(Rating #1678)
