Light gold, clear, meh. Very thick for a kolsch, very thick and rich but I don’t care. Bready sweetness, warm apple pie (very mild one). Nice light carbonation, almost medium bodied, sweet malt finish. Not sure at what point I was fairly toasted... robinvboyer (1444), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jun 11, 2009 on tap at the new brewpub in the Byward Market. Golden pour, next to no head. Pretty boring aroma, not much malt, just some grassy hops, and wet grass, and some dull grains. The flavor is pretty boring also, grassy, and grainy. DougShoemaker (2856), Toronto, Canada

Aroma is light malt, very soft hops, clear golden, small white head, a bit of lace. Taste is light malt, soft fruitiness. Light bodied, balanced, easy drinking, thirst quenching. Good. TaktikMTL (2786), Montréal-Nord, Quebec, Canada

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 29, 2008 Golden Yellow with a light white head. Grassy malt aroma. Strange bready malt flavour. The body seemed well balanced again the carbonation was a bit too much for myself with this one. MrManning (1659), London, Ontario, Canada

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jan 10, 2007 Had this at 575 Bank as well. Maybe it was just that batch but 100% ditto to the last comment, only I finished the whole thing before it had a chance to get warm. One thing I noticed common to all Clocktower beers is the slight soapy aftertaste and vinegry aroma. I have yet to try the Bytown Brown.
