Fruity and sirupy as it is, there is a common element to all their beers that seems to have reached an optimal equilibrium here. Starts out very sweet but tender complexities cause for a long finish. One to take in large trusty gulps, a very pleasant beer to drink. Don’t believe the 7% though, you can easily underestimate this beer’s effects.
Hard to find, even in Ghent.. I know only two places here that serve this one. All the better, I guess. Jerre (1755), Waregem, Belgium

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 16, 2009 (Bottled) Hazy golden with a medium, firm head. Grainy-pale-malty aroma with some honey sweetness. Pale, sweetish malt with herby hops and honey hints in the flavor. Fruitiness comes up with yeast. Medium-bodied, quite carbonated but smooth palate. A quite balanced blonde on the sweeter, fruitiier side. Not far from tripel.
