More coffee than sweet malt. I would have thought this was a dry stout actually. Aroma is mainly roasted with coffee. Flavor is very coffee with a solid roasted finish. not bad overall, but off for the style.

Dark brown with a tan head. Nice medium roast coffee and chocolate aromas. Medium body with light carbonation. Dusty dark roasted malt and coffee flavors. lingering finish. Not too bad.

I commend Coach’s for experimenting, but this just doesn’t work. Feels VERY thin and watery in the mouth. Pours a jet black color with a small cream head that quickly leaves. Literally tastes like cold coffee, not much else going on. Tastes like a lighter beer with coffee added to it.

Poured a deep dark brown-black color, nice tan to light brownish head. Lacing was decent. The aroma was fresh coffee, rather delightful. The flavor was like coffee water with some milk, although fairly good. The body was too light and watery to be great, but I should have gotten a couple of these rather than that Brown ale.

A pint glass didn’t afford much complexity of aroma, but a delicate coffee aroma was present. Appeared black with ruby tints and a creamy tan head. Mild bitter choclate and coffee flavor with virtually no hops. I was told that this batch was just "re-carbonated" that day and the palate definitely suffered. Flat mouthfeel. Overall the beer has potential, but the current batch doesn’t deliver.

On tap at Coachs. Poured a muddy bown with a medium sized tan head. It looks like day old coffee left in the pot. Moderate aroma of coffee. Flavor was coffee up front with just wateriness all the way down. Very disappointed in this stout.

(Tap) This is a new brew from Coachs. I am pretty sure this beer is their regulat stout with an abundance of lactose. Decent coffee and toffee in the aroma. However, it is one of the worst tasting stouts I have ever tried. Very unbalanced, with a very sweet taste. It tastes like very watered down coffee with some milk. Not something I will order again...
