Sweet and malty aroma. Muted dark malt flavoring. Little in the way of hops. Thin mouthfeel. Tastes similar to their stout. I am convinced Coach’s uses either a light or dark malt base for every beer that they make... with no variations. lumpsowers (252), Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 14, 2009 Chocolatey pour, big head and lace. No carb, nitrous tap? Nice and sweet, but very little malt for a porter, no wood or smoke flavor. Some lemon and soda-type flavor. Very strange, doesn’t really taste like a porter, no carbonation at all.

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Feb 2, 2003 Updated: Jan 15, 2005Dark pour with medium head, large bubbles in the head. This has no distiguishable aroma, with a taste like a very bland Guinness (in fact this is like a bland version of the Sooner Stout). There is a subtle taste of hops, but it comes off as a bad impersonation. Palate is left feeling smooth. Later, a more roasted caramel taste shows up, and it must have hit the right temperature because when colder, this beer has close to nothing. Far too think of a palate... lack of flavor. Poor effort.
