| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 21, 2009 Cloudy orange, huge white head. Lots of piney hops in the nose, but also a weird medicinal note, which is also in the flavor. Lots of hops in the flavor, as well, and oddly quaffable for a big beer. Sampled at Brewgrass 2009. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 14, 2009 Growler. Huge fresh hop nose- grassy, herbaceous, and spicy. Subdued citrus. Cloudy orange-amber with a thin patchy head. Nice flavor, mild bitterness with good citrus character. Well-balanced. Thick, chewy but not cloying. DrBayern (1137), Morehead City, North Carolina, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 11, 2009 Growler from the Charleston Beer Exchange. Slightly hazy amber with a rather small white head. Big, fresh, hoppy aroma of pine and citrus with hints of caramel underneath. Medium body, lightly carbonated, resinous, quite dry. The bitterness comes on mid palate after an initial fruity sweetness. Long, bitter finish. This had been in a refrigerated growler for about a week, and probably suffered a little from that. Still, it’s a solid DIPA, and I look forward to having it again the next time I’m in Charleston. Coltrane (108), South Carolina, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 21, 2009 A: Fairly dark, even for a double. Opaque rustish color
S: Grassy and a little sweetness. A bit of dankness.
T: Unique and incredibly balanced. Grassy with just a touch of citrus. Nice bitterness at the end
M: A little oily, with nice carbonation.
D: Crazy for a double, seems much more like a 7 percenter. Extremely smooth and crazy delicious.
A very unique double, and another GREAT one from COAST. Lessy grassy than HopArt, but the absolutely flawless balance makes it a winner. Its actually a bit like a Masala Mama for the DIPA inclined.
