The aroma is pretty tame and mild, some caramel and grains coupled with a floral/herbal hopping. Medium to light in body, it has sweet grainy malts in the flavor with a soft bitterness that does grow somewhat during the drinking, but not to the level of an IPA. Sessionable enough.

What’s with the flavor though? Burnt grass, broccoli, some hints of used ashtray. Sickly sweet and extra heavy body.
I’ll drink it but never buy it again. ChazMania (411), Pasadena, California, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jul 30, 2006 One of the weaker and uninspired IPA’s I have tasted. I agree with the other review, I taste asparagus and grass. I would not buy this again. DavidP (1743), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Jun 13, 2006 Hazy orange-amber body under a foamy light tan head. Asparagus, white pepper, wet grassy hay and caramel malt in the aroma. Nasty flavor. The wet hay comes to the forefront with not much else coming though. This is the big wet bale on the wagon smacking you in the tongue. Dry yet rich mouthfeel with that bitter wet hay thing coating the tongue. I don’t think this bottle is bad, the beer is just very misguided. 1FastSTi (2557), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Jun 13, 2006 Thanks Dave. The beer pours to a strange brown colored body with a white head. The aroma is like wet, partially rotting stale hay. The flavor is stale wet hay and ickyness. Bad lingering palate. Wish it woulda been better. MIBRomeo (1965), Wisconsin, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Jun 13, 2006 light off orange color w/ a big fluffy off white head w/ some decent lacing. smell si bad.. no more to be said. Palate is fizzy and mildly offensive. Flavor is just not good fizzes on my tongue to distract me from the rotten hay and mud flavor covered in hops to distract you from the bad.
NO! Just pour it out. calivania (62), USA
