Aroma is malty and floral with hints of dough, wet hay, wild herbs, and slight hoppy fruitiness. Bread and a sticky initial taste and mouthfeel, heavier than I expected. Hint of hops in finish. Dry and clean finish. Thin to medium bodied, more substance than many Blonde Ales but still dumbed down beer. Gets boring half way through glass, but I've had much worse. delacerveza (157), Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 7, 2002 burnt-champagne tinted, fizzily but somehow perfectly carbonated. light lacy head which eventually disintegrates. the aroma (somewhat tinny/grassy) was not EVEN close to being a precursor of things to come. the first sip was a burst of fruity (but not too sweet) golden goodness. reminded me of the flavors that i so like in flying fish’s beers. (i wonder if they use the same hops or malts or something) if this is only 3% i could easily make this a session beer. quite yummy and very drinkable. hopscotch (5520), Vero Beach, Florida, USA

It’s been about a year since I last drank this beer. I haven’t seen it since then, so the commercial description will have to suffice. However, if you like other blonde ales or kolsch’s that I have rated highly, this one will certainly not disappoint you. Andrew196 (1091), Katy, Texas, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 18, 2002 Very pretty golden orange color with a thick creamy white head. The nose was of sweet malts and fruits. The flavor wasnt that great though. There was a lingering malty bitterness that wouldnt go away....not bad. Gusler (2655), Tucson, Arizona, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 14, 2002 Pours a nice clear gold, white head and fair lace. Nose is malt, the front slightly sweet, the top thinish and the end is lightly hopped and crisp, as i said before, not my style, ’NO BODY’! vacek (67), College Station, Texas, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 28, 2002 This is what a beer is supposed to look like. Rich golden color that meshes well with the taste of fruit that has bite somewhere in the middle. So far both the bottles out of the beer of the month box have been winners. ultraspank (866), Dublin, Ohio, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 28, 2002 My beer of the month shipment came yesterday, and I chose to sample a bottle of this first.
This brew pours a clear deep golden with a huge creamy off-white head. The head has good
lacing and is mostly lasting. The bold nose balances caramel and grain with flowers and
citrus, with hints of spice perhaps ginger, clove, and pepper. The flavor is balanced with a
moderate bittersweet start moving to a flowery fruity middle, and has a nice long bisquity
bittersweet finish. This brew has a medium creamy body with soft carbonation, and
finishes crisp. A most excellent offering. pilsnerrogge (1789), Finspång, Sweden
