| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 13, 2007 The aroma is orange and citrus. Ripe amber color with a white head that filmed rapidly. Medium bodied, lightly carbonated, starting with a fair amount of citrus sour. Mildly sour* it is. The finish has a bit of wood and contrasting sweetness to go with the sour.. Really refreshing drink. *tart doesn’t quite fit. beerguy101 (3926), Newark, California, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 20, 2007 This fruit beer pours a orange gold color from a 22oz bottle. Medium to large sized white foamy head, with good retention and nice lacing. Aroma is blackberries, cranberries, orange, some tartness and some funk. Medium bodied ale. The malts are fruity and sweet with lots of blackberries and orange flavors, yet it has a lot of saison and gueuze character as well. Makes for a strange combination that, for this bottle at least, work very well. The fruit sweetness is whacked by the tartness, but manages to survive somehow. Good carbonation. Nice balance. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet with some long lasting tartness. ratman197 (3220), Arvada, Colorado, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 12, 2007 On tap @ The Bistro poured a clear amber with a large lasting ivory head. Aromas of lactic, apple, cranberry and a hint of spice. Palate was light bodied, crisp and slightly tart. Flavors of apple, cranberry, light spice and some lactic notes with a crisp, lingering lightly tart finish. A very unusual but tasty beer! bb (2919), Martinez, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 22, 2007 Bottle. Hazy orange amber beer with an off-white head. Fruit (mostly grape) and oaky malt aroma. Fruity, sweet malt flavor with backing tartness. Lots of berry and grape notes. LIngering sweet malt with lots of fruit and a bit of tartness. I keep wanting to add oak everywhere too. There’s a lot competing and it’s just a little sweet all throughout. Nuffield (2724), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jun 25, 2007 Hazy, bright yellow. Cheese aroma, with notes of vomit in a subway station (reminds of me somehow--I don’t mean this as a dig...remember that we use the words "horseblanket" and "cobwebs" in endearing ways for gueuze). Fruity front, berries in the mouth. Thin body. Not entirely to my liking. (on tap at City Beer in San Francisco) jazz88 (2237), San Francisco, California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 26, 2007 Bottle. A hazy golden orange color with a white head. A strong orange and citrus aroma with an even more intense fruity flavor. Sickly sweet with an intense fruit finish. DYCSoccer17 (2192), Davis, California, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Jun 7, 2007 22 ounce bottle shared by grant. Cheesy, funky, corn-silage, sour, salty aroma. Green apples/acetaldehyde aromas are also in there. Man, this is not very pleasant. Moderately hazy peach colored body with a very small, quickly-dissipating off-white head. Pretty ugly shit. Lightly sour, quite acidic start, which becomes salty, cheesy with some light sweet and sourness present. Definitely different, but too cheesy and salty. I had to pour this because it was revolting. The creativity is nice, but it is unfortunate that they bottle this shit and then actually charge people money for it.
