Bottle. Deep red in color with a nice lacing. Orange and candi sugar aroma. Candi sugar and grapefruit flavor. Sweet tasting. Smooth. Finish is dry and hoppy. Very drinkable.

22 oz bomber. Gold/red color with a decent head that leaves lots of lacing. Aroma is tangerine zest and candi sugars. Taste has San Diego written all over it, albeit Gilroy. Sweet, dry, hoppy, tangy, and oh so drinkable. Nicely done.

Hoppy the wqay I like my beer. Pours clear with small head. Let warm up a bit to get the IPA aroma but it never materialized. The first taste exploded with hops, malty after that. Just the right level of bitterness to liven it up. So light on the palate I would drink another one right now if I had one. This is my favorite style and I have had batter but this was good.

Very pleasant grassy/pine aroma. Pours a nice amber with a big, thick head and lots of lacing. Hops are the main attraction here, very wet and prickly, like a fresh hop ale. Very nice bouquet of lemon zest without all the aspirin. The malts, are also along for the ride, some caramel sweetness and some strong ale qualities. A nice hop bomb. Thanks Stephen, the Dark Elf.

22 oz. bottle. Pours a little bit hazy copper, slightly on the darker side for copper, a little amberish. Nice thick creamy off white head that sticks around a while and laces nicely. Not a ton of aroma, but a little bit of fruity, citrusy hop aroma. Flavor is pretty good, balanced nicely to the bitterness side. A little bit of carmely malt flavor. Overall a fairly good American IPA.

Bottle from DarkElf. Pours out a crystal clear dark amber color with a nice sized off-white head. Fantastic lacing is left behind. Aroma is lightly piney, some floral qualities to it also. Medium bodied with nice carbonation, somewhat soft. Pleasant balance between malt and hop in flavor. Lingering bitterness is modest, not overwhelming as found in many Left Coast IPA’s. A pretty decent IPA, not otherworldly, but solid.

Pours clear amber with thick lacing head. Hoppy nose, lots of pine. Very unique flavor. I swear I can taste peanut butter. No, I did not just eat a pb&j sandwich either. Interesting. Full-bodied and chewy. A very sticky bitterness. Glad I tried it, but wouldn’t purchase it again.

(Draft. 02/2006) Clear orange. Small off-white head. Floral hop nose with some citrus notes. Floral hop taste with distinct orange quality masking a relatively thin bodied, caramel maltiness and barely perceptable ethanol sweetness.
