Pours a pale gold, head is nothing special, bubbles are quite coarse, some lacing. Nice spicy slightly floral aroma, with a touch of funk. Flavor is ok, not as assertive as a Belgian saison. Not half bad...

Big bomber shared with others. Ubiquitous pale yellow american lager appearance. Typical beer aroma and has some clean fruit sweetness, but not much aroma at all. Pretty strong initial flavor, not what I was expecting for a saison. Seems to have a strong alky bite to it. Medium tingly carbonation. I have tasted much better saisons; for example Bam beer and Yards saison are both much better and easier to enjoy than this. Overall, more like a stronger Belgian than a saison. Probably would not purchase again.

Bottle. Average fizzy white head that mostly diminished. Fair lacework. Clear sparkling body with a yellow color. Aroma was herbs, spice, citrus and what I felt was sweat and soap form the yeast. Some butter and fruity notes as well. Not the usual Saison. Medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Moderated sweet flavor with light bitter and acidic notes as well. Average duration fruity finish.

Pours with a fairly hazy, gold color that is topped by a frothy, two-finger thick, pale, off-white colored head. The aroma is a mix of earthy, spicy herbal notes that evoke thoughts of coriander, clove, fresh cut hay, and lemon grass. Some soft fruit notes of apples and pears are also noticeable. Malt aromatics are present, especially towards the end; soda cracker notes, lightly cooked biscuits and grassy grain notes round out the malt aromas.

Quite light tasting, yet it has a fair amount of sweetness to it. The sweetness seem accentuated by some orange peel flavors that are actually quite pronounced, especially towards the middle and finish of this beer. I would guess that some coriander has been added to this beer as these flavors are fairly noticeable as well. Notes of ginger, and perhaps a touch of dusty white pepper are noticeable as well. The orange peel and coriander notes seem to get in the way of the yeast character that might be here.

An interesting beer, with a good mix of flavors, but it seems to be a bit out of whack. Some of the flavors are a bit too strong (orange peel and coriander), while others are quit a bit too weak (yeast / fermentation character). Not bad, but seems to have missed the style (despite the style being wide opening).
