Aroma of caramel and some aroma hops. Medium body, lightly sweet caramel and then a rather fresh and fruity aroma hoppiness leaving a solid bitterness. The mouthfeel is soft and pleasant. A very classical and clean APA. 240307 kp (8396), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 6, 2007 Amber color with a moderate cream colored head. Caramel aromas with hints of weedy, old hops. Lightly toasted malt with dry caramel in the front. Middle is full of woody hops. A sweet sour sauce in the finish. Late in the finish, there are hints of malt again that are welcome, but just too much "unclean" hops and dirt flavors. No reason to think that this is not a fresh bottle. My sediments are the same as Pitonkas on this one. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 17, 2007 Bottle. Clear, deep copper pour with 2-finger, fluffy off-white head. Aroma is heavy hops, tropical fruit, caramel malt, some spicy peppery notes and a bit of mango. Tastes caramel malty, hoppy but not overpoweringly hoppy, with some finishing mango, black pepper, and peaches in light syrupy notes. This is one I’d easily stock by the case if i could. bhensonb (4336), Woodland, California, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | May 24, 2006 Musty? citrus aroma - it’s all good. Color is a weak amber, and head isn’t much. The hoppy bitterness bites immediately and stays with the tongue. It works really well with cajun! Swish it around the mouth, and there is substance. This could be characterized as a light IPA or a hoppy pale ale. There is a light sweetness finishing with dry astringency. Another, maybe the greatest, great ale from Coast Range. So who are these guys? heemer77 (4309), Savannah, Missouri, USA

Sharp orange citrus notes dominate the nose with earthy musk following up behind. some toast with peanut butter is also present. Light grapefruit is mixed in with cardboard and a little bit of black pepper spice. There is also walnut after drinking for a while. Decent and on the malty end of things. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 2, 2007 Picked up a single 12-oz bottle at Bob’s McFarland Liquors in McFarland, Wisconsin. Pours a clear caramel amber brew with a thick lumpy head that slowly dissolves to a thin creamy layer and excellent lacing. Aroma of roasted caramel malt, grapefruit, some citrus zest and a touch of spring flowery hops. Taste is lightly carbonated, medium bodied with a more hop character than malt. Flavor has a distinct orange peel flavor with a hint of grapefruit, mint and some pepper. Finish is very bitter with a lingering citrus zest aftertaste. Very hoppy! More close to an IPA than a pale ale. beerguy101 (3946), Newark, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 14, 2006 This American Pale Ale pours a medium amber gold color from a 22oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is earthy, some malt and some tea. A medium bodied Pale Ale. Malts are bready, citrusy and sweet. Hops are floral and earthy, touch of citrus. A nice balanced APA. Towards the lighter milder pale ales, yet not quite an English Pale Ale, as there is a little too much hop flavor here. Nice beer, would make a nice session ale. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
