(22 oz bottle: $2.99 at BevMo in Carmel Mountain/San Diego, CA) This is an interesting and wonderfully enjoyable IPA. It starts off fairly malty, mildly sweet and nicely balanced with bitter hops. The malt shows a bit of grain/corn, which might be looked upon with some disfavor by some people, but I think it seems to mesh very nicely with the hop flavors. Yup, quite flavorful. That’s a great start for an IPA. Then a sharp grapefruit rind bitterness becomes especially pronounced in the finish, holding onto the tongue with a vice-like death grip. Normally, I might not care for the finish, but the powerful hops tastes so incredibly fresh and delicious, I’m really into this beer. The nose is well balanced, malty and hoppy, but the moderate aroma of hops doesn’t come close to predicting how hoppy the finish is. Crisp and clean on the palate, but with nice body for a round mouthfeel. Dark golden color is very attractive. Off-white head is sizeable, and shows excellent retention, maintaining a quarter-inch layer atop the beer for the entire session. And oh, look at all that ringed lacing! Incredible. Honestly, I didn’t expect much from this beer, but what a pleasant surprise. This is a very fine IPA, maybe even outstanding. I sampled a second bottles of this IPA, just to be sure, and I’m still just as impressed.

Slightly hazy bronze color with a large, frothy, creamy white head. The aroma was dominated by the floral/citrusy hop tones...burnt bread in the background. The flavor was bitter for sure...floral/herbal hops...burnt bread/grains with some cigarette ashes in the aftertaste. The feel was crisp, but slightly thick...dry finish.

Clear orangish gold color with a large off-white head. Honey, bread, and citrus hops aroma. Bitter citrus hops flavor, with a nice balance of sweet honey and bread. Crisp, feel with a dry finish.

Bomber: Thanks to SDbruboy for the trade! Light tan head medium sized, good retention and decent lace. Clear light amber hued ale. Nose of pine, citrus and pale malts, lightly rubbery. Medium body. Solid malts and out front hoppiness, piney, citrusy alll put together very well with ample malt body. Finish is dry and fruity. An on target IPA!

22 oz bottle. Pours clear dark amber with an attractive beige head that lingers quite well. Sharp hoppy aroma, floral and herby with an evident maltiness as well. Pine and citrus flavor dominates with a pronounced sweetness lurking underneath. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Quite nice IPA overall.

Bottle, thanks to DarkElf for the bonus. Grapefruit and pine aroma with some orange citrus mixed in as well. Very bright aroma. Copper-orange with an inch tall, off-white head that lasts. Bitter hop flavor with lots of caramel malt sweetness underneath. Medium light body - oily texture. I enjoyed this one.

Wet lemony hop aroma. Light golden in color with a thick head that last. A full blast of c-hops, I am assuming centennials, wrap around your tongue and deliver a fine howdoyoudo. Enough body to make it interesting and deliver a good product. Pretty nice with a lasting grapefruit sensation. Thanks Rodger!

A clear Amber color with a foamy beige head. Typical West Coast IPA with Cascade hops, Piney with sweet malts. A bitter hop explosion with rich malts peeking through. Creamy feel, lingering bitterness. Nice!
