Commercial Description:
Maduro Porter is a dark chocolatey ale in the tradition of robust porters. The malt bill includes 2-row pale malt, crystal malts, chocolate malts, and a small portion of black malt for deep black color. This porter is generously hopped with Willamette and Spalter for floral/spicy notes to complement the malty undertones.

[At Stockholm Beer Festival 2005] A very dark brown beer with a thin orange head. The aroma is sweet roasted with a good deal of coffe as well as some wood - I think it is Cedartree. The flavor is sweet roasted and very smooth, with a dry bitter coffee end, but the body is thin.

(Bottle 65 cl) Clear, dark brown with a reddish hue and a small, beige head. Lightly burned malt nose. Medium body, lightly burned and ashy accents while the finish is dry with a vague malt astringency. Ends a bit thin and timid. 160607

Bottled. Near black. Coffee aroma. Medium bodied, well hopped and really roasty. Strong citric hops interplay with the coffeeish malt flavours and it works just fine. A great porter!

Bottled. Black coloured, small brown head. Roasted malt in faroma. Veautiful flavour of smoke, roasted malt, coffee and caramel. Long aftertaste if roasted malt and caramel. Very smooth and easy-to-drink, though being kind of complex.

Dark brown colour. Fairly rich, chocolatey aroma with light toffeeish accents. Chewy - a little toffeeish and fudgey. A malty, but not roasty, sweet but rounded ball-first porter. Just the way it should be.
