Commercial Description:
It's deep amber color and rich malt body come from our domestic 2-row malt and four of the finest British pale and crystal malts. A generous amount of Pacific Northwest hops supply a well balanced bitterness and fragrant floral bouquet. Our proprietary yeast provides a fresh fruity aroma and a clean satisfying finish.

Bottle... Hazy, orange ale with a large, frothy, off-white head. Decent retention. The nose is all about caramel and black tea. Well-balanced with equal parts malt and hops. Notes of toffee and pink grapefruit. A pinch of salt. Medium-bodied and dry with lively carbonation. Thanks to DarkElf for the bottle.

I was very impressed with this brew, after the disappointment of their Blonde Ale. Poured amber from the bottle. Little head, but nice lacing. Aroma was of malt and a little hops. Flavor similar to aroma. I liked the mouthfeel of this one vs. the blonde ale - there’s a lot more here. I got this through a beer-of-the-month club and I would like to have it available locally! Not too hoppy. On the malt-side the way I like ales. Well done!

Amber color, light fizzy head with sticky lacing. The nose is toasty sweet malts with light doughiness and a pleasant hop note that balances with the malt level. The flavor is creamy and also balanced with a nice malt body, moderate hop bitterness and a sweet hoppy resin and caramel sweetness combo. A nice finish ; moderate bitterness for a pale ale with some dry notes in the tail. Decent pale ale. I don’t know what’s up with the low scores here.

Light, clear copper color. Fizzy white head. Light vegetal nose with light citrus / floral hops. Flavor... again with the vegetable stew. However, it gives a pleasant sweetness to the light, unobtrusive citrus hop presense. I like the balance, though it may be a bit sweet. But the flavor overall is unattractive with the veg.

Bottle: Dark caramel, hazy, moderate off-white head, fairly nice lacing.   Ugh, nose of overcooked vegetables, some butterscotch, and light spent grains.   Flavor isn’t much different, slightly sweet malt base.   Hop profile is very minimal.   Body and mouthfeel are fairly average.   Vegetable like finish.   Perhaps this is what is intended considering it is only around 10 in the style percentile category.   Lingering unsweetened butterscotch aftertaste.   Blech!   Drainpour.   Thanks Stephen for the new label!

This pale ale pours a light amber brown color from a 12oz bottle. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is caramel, sweet and bready. A medium bodied American Pale Ale. Malts are caramel, malty and fairly sweet. Hops are grapefruity but they take a while to get there. The hop character doesn’t show up till the aftertaste. Lively carbonation. A little sweet and a touch thin, but still a very drinkable beer. A lot closer to a English Pale Ale than an American Pale in style and character. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly sweet with some hops.

[At Stockholm Beer Festival 2005] A hazy orange beer with a thin orange head. The aroma contains lots of caramel as well as light notes of hops and brewmash. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw and caramel, leading to a dry bitter end.

Bottled. Bronze colour. Peachy hop aroma. medium bodied with simlistic hard malt character. Average bitterness. Soem interesting hop aroma can’t overcome the fact that the malt character and mouthfeel in this beer is really sub par.
