Bottled. Nut brown. Appley malt aroma. The gernerous malt character has notes of butter and fruit. A low hop rate makes the malt flavours dominant. The mouthfeel is somewhat raw and syrupy. A solid beer that lacks the final touch.

Clear reddish amber hue, good head formation, fine carbonation. Sweet caramel aroma, mildly burnt treacle. Toffee-ish, fruitcake palate, burnt raisins adding dry balance. Sweet but not thick, medium in body. Tastey and easy drinking.

Bottle. Pours a golden/red color. Malty and somewhat sweet aroma. Somewhat fruity smell. Sweet malty flavor. Some burnt malts seem present as well. Slight bitterness towards the end.

Bottle. Rich ruby-copper color with a beige head. Fruity, caramel aroma. Caramel malt and butty flavors with a bit of earthiness. Fuller body with a clean finish.

Pours gorgeous red/brown with thin head. Aroma is toasty and nutty. Flavor is all kinds of malt: roasted, toasted burnt, you name it. A bit of a sweet but mild alcohol kick; exactly what I wanted to see in an ale like this. Well done. Finish is dry and nutty.

Beautiful red color with a large frothy off-white head. Nice sweet malt, caramel, and grape aroma with a hint of earthiness. Nice roasy malt, grape, mushroom and citrus hops flavors. Crisp, but fairly thick feel.

Beautiful glowing ruby color with a large, frothy off-white head. The aroma was filled with caramel, slight smoke, peat, and a gentle sourness (not bad.) The flavor was much of the same...sweet, with a definite roasty/smokey/nutty character. The feel was creamy, slightly crisp, coating, kinda thick...wet finish. Nice.
