rkuhnel (1144), Eureka, California, USA Jul 10, 2008 I always kind of hate to drink my only bottle of a retired beer but IPAs don’t keep all that well so here we go. Poured a light amber with small white head and moderate lacing. Nose of caramel malts and citrus hops. Medium mouthfeel. Flavor is bitter with kind of odd hops. Dry finish. Average at best.

~Pours a golden amber colour with small creamy white head.
~Sweet malty smell with a bit of bitterness from hops.
~Taste citrusy bitter and a bit musty.
~Feels a little dry and after taste is a little astringent.
~This is decent. Drinkable, but not one I would buy again. marcus (1055), Sacramento, California, USA May 14, 2008 This amber ale poured with a fluffy beige head and a floral aroma. There is a funky malt flavor with a huge hoppy citrus peel bitterness. I can’t decide if I like this one. Highlander (1), Carlsbad, California, USA does not count Apr 20, 2008 BevMo in a 12 pack. Light in color. The smell is skunky. The taste is very bitter with a bad after taste. I don’t like the hops used in this beer. I won’t buy again bhensonb (3015), Woodland, California, USA Apr 19, 2008 Another BevMo bottle. A little hop aroma over bread. LIght amber color with a beige head that wasn’t much. Seems to be floral hop; there’s a very decent amount of bitter. Sort of a super hopped ESB. Or an IPA with non-standard bitterness. It is bitter. Way better than feared. Which is good, since it comes in 12 packs.
