Clear orange-amber beer with a thin white head. A rather odd combination of malts and hops and I cant identify any of it. A light bitterness starts in the middle and carries through the aftertaste. A bit of lemon flavor and funk, and at first I wondered if it was a bad bottle. Now I dont think it was spoiled, just different than what I was expecting from an amber ale. My wife says "it tastes like beer" so its probably just me. Its not bad, and I might get used to the flavor after a few more. I’ve been brewing brown ales and IPA’s this month so I’ll give it the benefit of a doubt. It was pretty cheap at $3.79 a six pack, and drinkable at that price.

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 17, 2009 I also picked up a six-pack at a Food Lion for five bucks. Eden, NC Food Lion for being in the middle of nowhere actually has a nice little beer selection. Don’t confuse Pamlico with Bawlmer’s Pimlico neighborhood like I did. This amber had minor bitterness, caramel and chocloate flavors. If you try it, don’t expect anything special. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Sep 16, 2009 Found this for 5 bucks a sixer in Food Lion Kinston, NC, and this one sucked ass. The pour was dark straw with off-white head, with a nose of caramel malt, mild hops, and a sour mashy fruit twang. The flavor was caramel malty, with backup hops and a sour twinge that made me think this one may have begun merging onto infection highway. I may try another, or I may dump the rest of the sixer down the drain, depending upon how fast I go through the good beer I bought at Cindirene’s in Ayden, NC. brewski519 (436), Morrisville, North Carolina, USA
