This style originated in England during the turn of the century most likely taking its name from the strong working class who favored this beer style. Dark ruby to almost black in color. Full body, rich chocolate caramel flavor, moderate bitterness

I was kind of surprised by this beer, mildly sweet, somewhat bitter finish with hints of chocolate throughout. I would recommend this beer to anyone visiting newport, plus the food at the restauraunt is great.

Thick and chocolaty this porter has a mildly sweet finish punctuated with ample hop bite. Big creamy mouthfeel. Way "bigger" than their stout.
