Commercial Description:
Fermented for an extended period, this premium lager features an aromatic sweetness in its amber tones. With the combination of high quality malts, roasted sweet potatoes and beer craftmanship, this beer is unique to the Bushu area, featuring Kawagoe's famous produce, Kintoki sweet potatoes. Take the time to full enjoy its flavors and the slightly elevated alcohol content. Called "Beniaka" Meaning Crimson Red, in honor of the colors of the sweet potatoes which helped produce it. Ingredients: Malt, Hops, Barley and Sweet Potato

A strong amber lager with sweet potatoes as well as unmalted barley. A rich, rounded, sweet aroma of malt. Roasted amber malt flavor, balanced mostly by the alcohol. Quite sweet, chewy, and interesting. Well balanced, nice beer.

Deep amber/orange in color with a rocky tan beige head. One of the best looking "premium Lagers" I’ve had, actually. Malty, light earth hops, slightly sweet, and a bit ’o toastedness. Smooth, medium body with nice carbonation. Light toasted malts, caramel, and earth. A rather enjoyable lager; I’m impressed.

Medium yellowish beige head. Beautiful deep amber body. Sweetish earthy malty aroma with notes of candy, soy sauce, and water. Deep sweet earthy malty taste with caramel notes. Clean, soft, smooth mouthfeel. Traces of syrup. Full-bodied. Dryish-sweet wooden earthy malty aftertaste with roasty alcoholic notes. Some alcohol heat. Very nice. (0.33l bottle from Naito-san.)

Clear dark brown – white head. Roasted, high berries, dried fruits, ryebread, caramel, sweetness, rubber, nutty, candy, fullbodies. Weird Premium Lager – but an ok beer. (6/3/6/3/14)

The ale pours a medium brown color. Small head. Aroma is caramel, sweet and fruity. Medium bodied lager. Malts are caramel and sweet. The hops are floral and earthy. Good balance. Nice carbonation. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Bottled at RBJG park session. Hazy nutbrown, small head. Sweet and fruity with a plastic bynote. Medium bodied with syrup and chewy malt as well as plum brandy and sake. Finishes with low bitterness and some lingering alcohol.

Poured a copper color with a small creamy off-white head. Thick sweet caramel aroma. Caramel starts off the flavor then a thin watery finish.

Bottle thanks to the chaps from vertical drinks. Alround rating: Very sweet, caramel and toffee malts, lacking hop in all aspects though there is a small pepperyness. Not a hottie.
