improvjock (92), Namegata-shi, Ibaraki-ken, Japan Sep 19, 2009 Bottle. Pours a cloudy gold with small white head that completely disappeared after 5 seconds. Low carbonation. Aroma of banana and sweet malts. Texture is a little thick but velvety. Delicious beer, but I like it to have at least a little bit of head. Oishii, ne? Dark golden color. Cloudy, with a low, quickly fading head. Nice aroma of bananas and cloves. Rich, thick wheat malt flavor, rather sweet but balanced by a bit of sour. Excellent. thebeertourist (2750), Oslo, Norway Apr 4, 2008 Bottle. Cloudy pale golden with a smallish white head. Potent clove and banana aromas. Harmoniously blend banana and dry clove flavours. Well-carbonated. A superior weizen. Capa (952), Yokosuka, Japan Nov 11, 2007 Cloudy, bubbly golden with a medium thick white head. Aroma is nice. Spices, sweet malts, some banana, but not too candyish like many Japanese wits, slight smoke notes. Smooth body. Flavor is nice, though a little muted. Sweet banana, malts, some spice, some wheat, and a touch of smoke. A nice brew, wish it was a bit stronger in flavor. I’d buy this again, though.
