| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 23, 2009 Draft @ brewpub. Black with thick cappuccino-colored head. A characterful aroma blends cocoa and chocolate with hint of fruity sourness. Cask ale palate has low carbonation, is silky. Flavors are chocolate, coffee, with caramelly sweetness. Very nice, and goes well with food. A licorice sweetness comes out at the end. nate2g (1079), Brisbane, Australia

Aroma and flavour of sweet caramel malt, bread and buttery notes. Actually it’s quite heavy on the diacetyl. Low bitterness and finishes sweet. omhper (12179), Stockholm, Sweden
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 22, 2008 Draught at the brewpub. Almost black with small but firm head. Lemony licorice aroma. Medium sweet and medium bodied. Dry, somewhat edgy and a bit fruity, tarry and lightly citric. Finishes with canteloupe and tar. Has integrity, but is rather odd.
