JoeTheYounger (218), California, USA Oct 22, 2009 32 oz can. Poured a orangish hazy color with very tiny head. Soapy aroma with some faint hops. Citrus notes, mild hop flavor. Medium pallet. Overall not that great. dwyerpg (2519), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Sep 27, 2009 A pretty good malty-hoppy aroma. Flavor is okay, a bit of hops up front,a somewhat thin finish. Pleasantly surprised by this beer. twistedviews (67), California, USA Sep 19, 2009 a pretty bitter taste, made with a lot of different hops, with a medium amber colored body. heemer77 (4294), Savannah, Missouri, USA Sep 14, 2009 Bottle. A medium amber colored body. Orange smells at first with a doughy character and notes of hay. The taste was gummy with some light tobacco. There was also an earthy note of sunflower seeds. Drinkable, but certainly nothing to seek out. asedzie (453), San Francisco, California, USA Sep 13, 2009 Quart can. Pours slightly hazy amber with big fluffy off-white head. Aroma has mild notes of pine, honey, light spice. Flavor is nicely balanced between lightly sweet malt and prickly, oily hops. Some very slight undertones of rawness and strange saccharine sweetness, but overall a nice pale ale. Comes through with long lingering bitterness in the finish. Coming from the midwest originally, this is the kind of beer that I would love to see replace the cheap corporate corn swill that is the mainstay of every damn bar out there. A drinkable, inexpensive ale with some hops and barley. JPDIPSO (4863), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Aug 22, 2009 Quart can, soon to be utilized for beer butt turkey. Hazy amber color with a taller, somewhat creamy looking light ecru colored head. A decent looking pale. Grain and resin aromas along with a bit of grass. Light caramel flavors with a bit of grain in the background. Middle has some resin and light earth. SOme herbal and dried floral qualities. Finish is rather dull and a bit sharp. Linger is dry and a bit bitter and woody. A great effort considering the other brews from this brewery. Actually had no intention of finishing the whole can, but found no great faults that would have made me drain pour it. JohnnyJ (1282), Carlsbad, California, USA Jul 11, 2009 Bottle. Light gold/orange pour. Citrus, fruit, pine, and floral hops. A decent, yet pretty standard pale ale. harbuck76 (127), El Cajon, California, USA Jun 28, 2009 32 oz can. Pours a cloudy orange with huge fluffy off white head. Aroma is citrus, mild floral hops. Taste is mild citrus, sweet caramel malts and a touch of honey. Finish is somewhat bitter , but mainly sweet. It’s ok at 3 for 32 oz can its worth a try.
