Pours a golden color with a nice, big frothy white head that has good retention and nice lacing. Aroma is floral and a slight hint of citrus hops, I almost get a soapy scent too. Not too overpowering but it falls a touch short of where Id like it. Flavor is slightly hoppy and floral with a hint of honey. There is not as much bitterness as I would have liked though. Its easy on the palate ans this might be a good beer for you to give to someone who hates pale ales or hoppy beers. beerguy101 (3972), Newark, California, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 4, 2008 Sampled on 12/4/2008. This Pale ale pours a medium amber brown color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white frothy head, with decent retention and nice lacing. The aroma is mild floral with a touch of hops, wait there is a touch of honey as well. A light to medium bodied Pale Ale. The malts are caramel and sweet. The hops are floral and earthy. Not all that bitter for a pale ale. Has a kind of honey flavor I could not place till I remembered that Cold Spring used to be Gluek. For a Gluek beer this is a freckin masterpiece. Anyone else, and its sort of average. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. tdaglow (41), Minnesota, USA

Flavor is sweat citrus hops and some honey. Nothing complex but good. Palate is round and very full. Nice sweat dry finish. esjaygee (1600), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 25, 2008 Hazy amber with a thin white head that leaves some lace. The aroma is very light, with some presence of citrus hops and a touch of sweet malt. Heavily carbonated vegetal concoction with some sweet malt tossed in that leads way to a dry pepper, finish. In a word, lackluster. mjg74 (2001), La Mesa, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 15, 2008 Bottle from Keil’s. Pours a medium/dark amber color. Aroma is bready maltiness with some hops and a little spiciness. Decent hop flavor with some maltiness. A little sweetness. Finish is somewhat bitter. Looks like Cold Spring is actually brewing drinkable beers now. SledgeJr (3004), Omaha, Nebraska, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Aug 6, 2008 Pours an amber, copper golden color with a medium to large ever so slightly off white head. The aroma reveals the slightly citrusy presence of a couple of hop pellets in the brew. The flavor begins with a bit of butterscotch, and finishes with a mild grapefruit bitterness. I get lots of odd metallic notes throughout. Perhaps they tossed in a couple of gypsum wallboards into each batch? This is really good for a product coming out of the Gluek Brewery, but fairly pedestrian for a pale ale. moelikebeer (220), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA
