Bottle. Pours a dark burne body with a tan head. Malty chocolate notes, with some light roast y hints, burnt coffee tones, hints of licorice, and caramel. Roasted with a thin session body. Nice.

Jet black, sticky head, barely tan. brewed in october, maybe this isn’t in it’s prime, but here we go. not much coffee or chocolate on the nose, more of a spongy damp moss and wet dog. but not in a flawed and bad way, it’s very earthy and rich. The coffee comes out in the sip, creamy and strong. Quickly fades, thinner body, kind of muffled on all sides. I remember this being more dynamic fresh.

A very interesting stout, that was good for cold days, and a better stout / winter seasonal than most. Moderate ABV, but a real smooth malt body.

Clear dark brown color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, milk chokelate, light dark chocolate. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090321]

22 oz Bottle. Pour almost black with a light tan head. Slightly sweet malt nose with maybe a little chocolate peeking though. Medium body. Overall very good malting with a slight milk taste coming on late.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of yespr/Ungstrup. Pours a dark brown - almost black - with a vague tint of red and a small, light brown head. Sweetish aroma of hard roasted malt. Medium body, sweetish hard roasted malt and a hint of vanilla. Heavy sweetness and a lightly bitter malt finish. 210309

Bottle. Weak roasted aroma, a little dust. Very dark brown colour. The flavour is nicely roasted, with some liquorice, turning to roasted coffee. A little sweet as well, giving a slightly syrupy mouthfeel. Good creamy and sweet finish. Gets a little sweet, but manages to stay almost balanced.

Bottled. A dark re-brown beer with a brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of roasted malt, chocolate, and caramel. The flavor is sweet and very malty with light notes of roasted malt, coffee, and chocolate , the mouthfeel is very smooth. Boring at first, but it grew on me.
