It pours a clear yellow body with a tall fizzy head that evaporates with haste. The aroma is soiled wheat with a touch of tin. The mouthfeel is oily and metallic. It tastes of some generic malt with a bit of wheat and has a tinny finish. Truly a Gluek of a hefeweizen.

| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Aug 14, 2007 hazy dirty straw color with a taller, dissipating off-white head. LIght lemon along with lightly sweet grainy wheat and corn aromas. Quite an odd aroma. Iron, blood, sweet peppers and well past their prime bananas. Not a bad feel, but the finish is so metallic that the liquid starts to have battery acid quality. Some sweet stomach acid and grains in the finish and linger. This is barely a mediocre american wheat let alone a German Hefeweizen. bhensonb (4376), Woodland, California, USA
| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Aug 20, 2007 Aroma is honey? Orange tinged gold color. Thin to medium bodied. Sort of creamy carbonation (does not seem to be a nitro can). The flavor is kind of non-descript. Malt. Not very wheaty. It has a flavor, it’s not a particularly bad flavor, but it has little to recommend it. The finish is almost non-existent. The mouth is left with something like malt and wet paper. Not a great drink. Not a hefeweizen except that there may be some wheat in the brew. heemer77 (4311), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 1/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Mar 12, 2008 Hazy, medium gold body. I was actually surprised to see a little bit of yeast pour out of the can. The aroma is Irish Spring soap with light lemon notes. There is also a little bit of cinnamon. The taste is lemon drops with some nasty cough syrup in the finish. This is medicinal and yet strangely drinkable. Not too bad considering the brewer and the method of serving. | 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | May 5, 2007 Picked up a 16-oz can from Party Center in Maplewood, MN. Pours a clear, pale golden yellow brew with a fast dissolving white head. Lots of carbonation bubbles. Aroma of P&G Ivory soap, some corn malt and sour bananas. Taste is highly carbonated, metalic on the roof of mouth, and a light citrus aftertaste. It bit rough doing down. Definitely not a Hefeweizen. It’s too clean in appearance to be even close. Next! | 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Jan 13, 2008 Canned. Poured clear (or damn near) bright golden with a short cap of white head. The aroma picked up odd metallic and vegetal notes upfront, and it really didn’t get better.. plenty of pale malt, a little honey, and some banana sweetness come through.. sour overall and not good. The flavor was just as bad.. honey and other adjunctey sweetness at the core with tacky artificial bananas and a little cough syrup around the edges.. citrus fruits showed up, but didn’t do much for me. Light-bodied with an ugly feel throughout the palate.. sourness was out of place and the finish was dry and grainy. Bad stuff. shrubber85 (2997), Wallhalben, Germany

Cloudy orange-yellow color with small head. Stale wheat malt flavor with slight hint of orange. Lacks the fruity/spicy esters of most Hefes. JK (2967), Richfield, Minnesota, USA
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 1/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 7/20 | Oct 8, 2006 Poured from a can at the ABR 2006. Light color, probably filtered. It is recognizable as a hefeweizen, some very light citrus and wheaty sweetness. Hey, its not offensive, and for Gluek, that is saying something.
