Colonial brewers made these lighter ale by using pale malts and distinct hops to develop aroma and bitterness. These brews became known as Colonial Pale Ales. These ales were traditionally served draught style in neighborhood pubs with a generous froth spilling over the top of the pint glass. You'll discover that authentice Pub Pint taste and character thanks to our Colonial Pub Pint System. Millions of tiny bubbles release when you jopen a pint to give your beer a creamy head and smooth pub finish ... the way Pub Pints havae been enjoyed for generations. Going out on a limb, I didn’t know what to expect with this and figured it would be pretty bad. However, it was actually moderately good. I don’t know baout the bubble blurbon the package, but this did have a very nice, thick, lasting white head that left good lacing, on an amber body. The aroma and taste were mild but definitely present and generally good, with a mild yeats, biscuit aroma. The taste is mild malt, biscuit, a hint of sweetness and a hint of biterrness, generally smooth, drinkable & refreshing if fairly bland.

Poured from can - another pale ale in a can. Nice, sea air aroma. Bronze, fine, persistent head. Good hop mix, mellow, not overpowering. Nutty aftertaste. Creamy feel. Very refreshing on a hot summer day.

I was not nearly so negative on this as I was their Hefe. It poured pretty standard: auburn with a vivacious head. It was caramelly and a little floral but without much hop bite--and since I don’t care for an over the top pale ale, that was fine with me. It was more than a Bitter, less than a Sierra Nevada or anything of the sort. That would disappoint many but I was cooking and finding this a very satisfactory accompaniment to the task. Moderately smooth, standard thickness. Most importantly, I didn’t get any sensation of metal, so that helps.

above average pale ale, very refreshing. very little head. creamy caramel taste with little floral hop bitterness. not sure why they make such a big deal on this being a draught style - "open the can and millions of tiny bubbles release" - well, that’s just beer in a can. bought at bev mo in sunnyvale, ca

Picked up 16-oz can from Party Supply in Maplewood, MN. Pours a light caramel amber brew with an lumpy slow dissolving white head. Aroma of P&G Ivory soap, some corn malt, and something representing a wet pussy cat (sigh!) It is missing the floral hoppiness I am used to in Pale Ales. Taste is full body, thick, a little sugary, and a smooth palate. Finish has a little bitterness but very enjoyable. Actually, unlike the Colonial Pub Pints Heffeweizen, the Pale Ale is not one bit offensive. It’s a pretty good sweet British Bitters and a Pale Ale.

Poured pretty nice with a thick frothy head. The color was dull amber and opaque. The smell was very malty and sweet--it was hard to detect the hops or ID this as a pale ale. Taste was pretty dry and flat. It wasn’t nearly as malty as it smelled but definitely was primarily caramel and sweet. The palate’s actually pretty good too. This is the best beer I’ve ever had that Gluek made--which isn’t saying much. However, I would drink this again.

Orange with Brown Hue and Sandy Ring. The Aroma is of Sweet Cereal Grains, Some Caramel. Light Mouthfeel. Carbonated. Sweet Malt, Caramel and Sweet Cereal Coming Out the Most Dominantly. Dry Malty Aftertaste with Some Light Hops. A Decent Session Ale.

Can from BevMo online. Medium golden in color upon pouring. Malty aroma with a splash of hoppiness. A little bit of yeast and root beer as well. Somewhat bready malty flavors up front. Hop character seems a little sour. Tastes more like beer than most Glueks.
