Malt aroma. White head. Golden coloured strong in alcohol and floral with a little dryness and bitterness in a crisp full malt finish. DuffMan (2766), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada
| 0.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/20 | Jul 1, 2008 Ginormous 1.18L clear bottle, bought as a joke while camping this weekend. Abysmal aroma of alcohol and sweet-rot stench. Sweet corn with a harsh petroleum-esque element and a hot isopropyl alcoholic burn to put the palate to death. Do not leave the bottle near the fire-- it may explode. riversideAK (2745), Shoreline, Washington, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Nov 26, 2009 I am assuming this is what i had, but who knows. It was labeled Colt 45 HG and it was 8.5%. Since I don’t want to add another rating I will put it here until further notice. Corny sweet and metallic nose. Can isn’t that cool. It is not sinister looking, it is sleek and silver, and not how I like my malt liquor cans. Light bodied and drinkable at 8.5%, corny and sweet, but not much else. Drinkability is decent. | 1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 3/20 | Feb 3, 2008 This bad boy was the final in a personal colt tasting I treated myself last week. Thanks to Joe for providing this so that I might come full circle. Pours a deeper orangey gold. Head is short lived and is a clear sign of the adjuncts used. Fruity aroma is unpleasant. Like rancid orange peels. Fuesels are here with creamed corn and stale malts. Oily, orangey nastiness with malty off flavours reminding me of what I would expect paper to taste like. It’s only 1% higher than the 7%, and far more offensive. Thanks Joe, but no thanks! Butters (1651), Virginia, USA

Sweet grainy flavor with some butter and corny finish. Could be worse. Cheap and gets the job done. Eructoblaster (1499), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
| 0.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 2/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/20 | Jan 22, 2006 Canned. Highly carbonated golden body topped with an average and diminishing white frothy head. Aroma is a bad and complex mix of CO2, corn, rotten malt, candy and dishwashing liquid. Taste is surprisingly thin for that kind of rocketfuel. Anyways, it is absolutely uninteresting. The aftertaste leaves a chemical burn feeling in the throat. Should be banned from the market or stored in the domestic products section of the grocery store. Of course, this joins the Drainpour list.
