| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 9, 2008 On Draft. A subdued roasty and sweet aroma, with similar taste, but with a little bit more malty, caramel action. A medium mouthfeel, with no real hop finish, just enough to clean up the malt. Overall not a groundbreaking beer, but a great example of the traditional style. BabyJoe692 (109), Pickerington, Ohio, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 16, 2007 This Columbus brew actually holds a head for awhile, tan & thick above a dark brown body. Mild bittersweet chocolate, prune & roasted malt... rather unassuming in the nose, but full and flavorful in the mouth. Mild carbonation on the palate washes away bitters leaving you with the tastes of medium-roast coffee, chocolate & dark fruit. Yummy.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 8, 2007 Had this on tap at O’Shaughnessy’s Irish Pub under the name O’Shaughnessy’s Dam Good Porter! The flavor of this was pretty mild, I thought, for a porter. Definitely tasted the chocolate and the coffee. This was rather drinkable, for sure, just nothing outstanding.
