Bottle shared by SpringsLicker on 1/26/07: Pours a transparent golden bronze with a thin ring of wispy white head. Pale grainy malty aroma has some honey notes. Body starts fairly thin and uninteresting with a touch of honey and grainy malt along with some butterscotch.

On tap at the airport pub while waiting for my plane to El Paso. Attractive clear golden beer with a short lived white fizzy head that shrank to a lasting whisp. Soft sweet grain nose. Light beer but not thin. Honey sweetness with some light toast and citrus bitterness in the finish. Inoffensive beer.

Thanks to Springslicker for sharing this bottle. An aroma of buttery wet paper. A dark golden pour with no head or lace (may have been because we had to ration it) A dryish flat flavor with no distinct flavor but a really odd bitterish twang. A thin palate with a flat tinge of fizzy. A watery weakness and an odd bitter not much of a beer but not terrible I might like it on a hot day.

Thanks to Springslicker for sharing this bottle with us at the Tennessee Spring(ish) Tasting! Poured golden with a small fizzy white head. The aroma was of honey and vinegar. The flavor was mostly honey with a hint of yeast but an overpowering sourness. Light body.

Tasted at the Tennessee Spring(ish) Tasting held in Knoxville, TN on 3/10/2007. Bottle shared by SpringsLicker. Thanks Jay... Columbus Ohio Honey Wheat starts out as expected with a hazy golden yellow color. However, it seems to veer off-track and downhill from there. The aroma is a strange concoction that contained honey and vinegar. The flavor is slightly better, but still not thta good as it was mostly sour wheat and some yeast. The carbonation was light and the body was light to medium. The resulting effect as a smooth beer, but not very appetizing in aroma or good in flavor. I had driven from Ohio for this tasting in Tennesee with mostly Tennesse guys in attendance (and ross from NC), so I was a bit surprised, but excited to see a beer from Ohio there. Unfortunately this beer was a disappointing and embarrassing representative of Ohio beer offerings!

Bottle at the Knoxville Spring(ish) tasting. Pours gold with a small white head. The aroma is light honey and Werther’s candy. The flavor is tons of diacetyl with hints of lemon zest, lawn clippings, and some stale sweetness. Fun beer to start the night, but nothing I can really recommend.

Bottle from Springslicker at the Knoxville tasting. Pours a clear but lifeless golden. Aroma of honey with some faint vinegar notes. It’s downhill from there. Flavor of honey and butter with some faint buttery notes. Like the appearance, this beer is lifeless on the mouthfeel, almost like a flat beer. Dissappointing.
